Your Child's
Tutor
As a classroom teacher, Hawk was recognized for his innovative curriculum and teaching methods
that motivated students to learn and excel beyond expectations. His 4th/5th grade class had a four year waiting list. He was
voted "Best Teacher Ever".
In the position of school counselor in Hawaii, he was presented with an award
by the Department of Education for his creative incentive programs that helped kids-at-risk to succeed. He has also trained
teachers in techniques of more effective education and in building rapport with kids.
As a practicing Education Consultant
in Texas, Hawk coordinated a statewide assessment program for children with disabilities for the Texas Education Agency. He
is the writer and director of a TV education documentary, and is the author of the book, "Will The Real Teacher Please
Stand Up?" As a local businessperson, Hawk served as a mentor for at-risk high school students through the Job Council
in Medford.
While presently retired from private practice as a PhD Behavioral Therapist, Hawk in recent years has
taught Success Consciousness classes at the Addiction Recovery Center in Medford, taught ESL for the American Language Academy
at the Southern Oregon University campus in Ashland, tutored at the Sylvan Center in Medford, and taught "Creative Writing"
through Extended Campus Programs at Southern Oregon University.
Hawk
has a delightful sense of humor and tends to think "outside the box" for more effective results in education.
